FOURTH WEEK IN BOGOTA




This week was of contrasts, of mixed feelings. I lost motivation and interest I had shown in the previous module and that affected my performance throughout the week. I was distant and sad and obviously that influenced my learning.


THE WINNERS´ WORKSHOP
The first day, The Winners presented their workshop. All the sesion plan was presented using Trello

They made a game of concentration and couples with photos of each of us like warm up.

Then they presented a video made with some apprentices that speaks to the quality of training at SENA

For the central part of their activity they decided to use a type of puzzle where team we had to find the corresponding pairs for each term or word on quality. At the end we compare couples and we check which were correct.

To evaluate the session used the Sea Star.

In the Winners´ workshop I liked the sea star, I think I can adapt this strategy in my classes. The group's performance was in the staging of the activity. They selected activities helped develop the theme and from the beginning they knew how to capture the attention of others. The moment of reflection activity was very productive and allowed to obtain very good conclusions about the quality of education.


THE INNOVA TEAM´S WORKSHOP
On Tuesday morning, in charge of the workshop were the Innova Team. They presented their plan of session using a sheet of paper.

To form groups, they used images that were related to quality. The back of the picture was a value (0, 50 or 100)

Each group went to the game area where there was a dart board. Each member could throw the dart and was obtained some points and answered a question.

After the game of darts analysis of the elements of the quality of education and emphasized the role of teacher quality are made. 

With the values on the back of the images (0, 50 or 100) each team qualified the Innova team activity.

In the Innova Team´s workshop I liked the analysis activity, the use of cake with the factors that interfere in the quality of education was a good element to star the analysis of the role of teacher in the quality education.


THE ROVERS´S WORKSHOP
They began their workshop with a picture illustrating desertion.

To form groups, the strategy was to find the other parts of a graph about dropout. Then we analyzed the graphics and information, our graphic was about dropout rate between men and women.

In the back of the chart had a different color for each group.

With these colors, the Rovers made a career of observation. Each station had a different activity about dropout.
 

 

At each station we perform something and then the groups returned to the classroom and presented their activities

To evaluate the session they performed a table where everyone toward a brand or happy face.


In in the afternoon, we explain to Mika as our organization was formed.


THE BEANERS´WORKSHOP
This workshop will explain better in the next blog post.


The third day, we work with Irmeli the special needs of apprentices and strategies for such apprentices.

And finally the activities for next contact week

  1. I'm sad to hear that you lost motivation during the fourth contact week! And even sadder that I did not notice that at the time being, if there had been something to do differently to avoid it! When I now think back to the week and what I rememeber of your participation, these glimpses come to mind: the energetic way you facilitated the six thinking hats activity, the constructive feedback and fresh ideas you gave when we discussed Jairo's teaching practice and the over-all friendly presence. If there is some unsettled matters regarding the fourth contact week, feel free to contact me.
